Steaming is a cooking method that creates a steady flow of hot air around food, retaining all of its nutrients without adding any additional fat. Because steam is more heat-efficient than boiling water it's a gentle method of cooking and great for delicate foods. This method cooks food quickly and without affecting nutrients or natural colors. This technique can make the cooking of fruits and vegetables a pleasure, as it has been well-known by the French.

FAQ

Is there a difference between a chef and a cook?

A chef prepares meals for others. A cook prepares food for himself or herself. While both jobs involve the preparation of food, a chef interacts directly with his customers. How To

How to make a perfect eggroll

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you create them perfectly? There are many recipes and methods I tried, but none worked. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. If you don't keep them cold enough, the whites won't form properly, and the yolks will break down too much and become runny. Your omelets will look strangely colored if this happens. If you plan to cook the eggs right away, it is best to use room temperature eggs.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. It is important not to allow any white to mix with the yolk as this could lead to the omelet becoming curdled.

The bottom part of an egg that is added directly to the stovetop might be burned, which could cause a ruined texture in your omelet. Instead, place the egg in the microwave for 10 second before you put it in the skillet. The microwave heat is sufficient to cook the egg without overcooking.

Next, let's discuss mixing the eggs. When mixing eggs, it is important to thoroughly beat them. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Then, vigorously shake the bowl. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. Fold the eggs in the milk mixture by first pouring half of it into the egg whites. If you still see streaks of eggs, don't worry. These streaks will disappear once the omelet has been turned over.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. When the oil is hot enough, add 1/4 cup butter to the pan. Stir it around until the butter covers the entire pan. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. The salt will help to prevent the omelet's sticking to the pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Flip the omelet with a spatula, or flip it upside down. Cook the opposite side for another minute. Take out the omelet and place it in a bowl.

This recipe works best with whole milk, but skimmed milk also works.
